It’s the holiday season, and time to let our hair down, relax, eat too much, and (for the more extroverted) wear silly/ugly sweaters.
Last night was the Graham.Law annual Christmas Party. Strictly speaking, ir was our first annual party, since our firm only opened its doors on November 1, but as our firm consists of the entirety of the Family Law section of our prior firm, it was really our 12th annual holiday party. See the photos on our Facebook page.
Blanca (my wife) made an awesome prime rib, brined it for 2 days, and slow-cooked it for hours until it was perfect. There was plenty of food and drinks to go around, with the only hitch being that we couldn’t find our only bottle-opener, so I had to borrow one from the neighbors (I don’t drink wine, and Blanca rarely does, so it could have been missing for months without us knowing).
We included traditional elements from past parties, including the white elephant gift exchange, and several people wore the aforementioned sweaters (hence the, um, interesting photos). Your truly, AKA Scrooge, was a little more conventional in his attire.
A fun time was had by all, and with designated drivers, no one got in trouble on the way home!
